VIENNA, VA -- Madison High School in Vienna is ranked #3 best high school in Virginia, according to rankings om April 2016 from US News & World Report.

Madison High School ranked at #3, right behind McLean High School, which came in at #2 and Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Fairfax County, which took the #1 place. Madison is located at 2500 Madison High Dr. in Vienna.

Coming in at #5 in Virginia is Oakton High School, located at 2900 Sutton Road in Vienna.

Madison ranks #151 in the nation and Oakton comes in at #162 in the country. Fairfax County Public Schools' Thomas Jefferson High School came in at #5 this year nationally and #3 in the nation among STEM schools.

At Madison, US News notes, "students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Madison High is 83 percent.
